Play Smash Fest

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Play Smash Fest can be played without creating an account or providing personal details. We do not operate server-side player profiles, require passwords, or store email addresses to save game progress. This Privacy Policy explains what site data is stored locally on your device, how privacy-focused analytics work, how advertising partners process information, and what privacy choices visitors have.

This policy applies to playsmashfest.com and all localized versions. It covers our interactive 3D browser game, written level strategy guides, analytics setup, and Google AdSense advertising integration.

Game progress and local storage on your device

The game uses browser local storage (`localStorage`) to remember your selected and unlocked level, best scores, earned stars, and sound preferences. This information remains strictly on the device and browser where you played. It is not a cloud save, is never transmitted to an external server, and is never linked to an individual user profile.

You can remove this data at any time by clearing stored site data or cookies in your browser settings. Clearing site data resets local game progress. Private-browsing (Incognito) modes may delete local storage automatically when the browsing session closes.

Aggregate analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to analyze aggregate site activity, such as page visits, referrers, device categories, and country-level traffic. Plausible is configured as a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use analytics cookies, does not track individual users, and does not create persistent visitor profiles.

Aggregate statistics help us identify broken pages, improve game performance across mobile and desktop devices, and refine our strategy guides. We do not use analytics data to identify individuals or to build targeted profiles.

Google AdSense and third-party advertising cookies

We use Google AdSense and third-party advertising vendors to serve advertisements when you visit our website. Google is a third-party ad vendor that uses cookies, including the DART cookie and device identifiers, to serve advertisements based on a visitor's prior visits to playsmashfest.com or other websites on the Internet.

Google and its partner ad networks automatically receive your IP address, browser user-agent, and general location when ads are requested. These technologies measure ad campaign effectiveness and personalize ad content based on your browsing activity, subject to your region and consent choices.

Visitors may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com/) or by opting out of third-party vendor cookies via the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://www.aboutads.info/choices/).

EEA, UK, and Swiss GDPR consent management

For visitors located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we deploy a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) in compliance with the EU User Consent Policy and GDPR requirements.

The consent management banner allows eligible visitors to give, customize, or refuse consent for non-essential advertising cookies and personalized ad targeting. Visitors can review or modify their consent choices at any time through the privacy controls available on the site.

If consent is denied or not provided, non-personalized or limited advertisements will be requested where applicable. Essential storage required to deliver the core website and interactive game controls operates under legitimate interest or necessary execution.

US State Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA Disclosures)

Residents of California and other US states with applicable privacy laws (such as CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA) have specific rights regarding their personal information. These include the right to request access to categories of data collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Play Smash Fest does not sell personal information for monetary compensation. Third-party advertising partners may collect information via cookies for targeted advertising as described in this policy, which visitors can control via our consent settings and DAA opt-out links.

Personal information and communication privacy

Play Smash Fest does not request precise GPS location, financial information, government IDs, health data, or other sensitive personal information. Support correspondence sent to contact@playsmashfest.com is used solely to answer your questions, resolve technical issues, and maintain site security.

We do not place email addresses, real names, or identifying contact data in ad requests, URL query parameters, or analytics payloads. Please do not send sensitive personal data in support communications.

Children's privacy and COPPA compliance

Play Smash Fest is a general-audience browser physics game and is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law (such as 13 in the US or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has submitted personal information through support emails, please contact us at contact@playsmashfest.com, and we will promptly investigate and delete the data.

Data retention, security, and external links

Local storage progress remains until cleared by the browser or user. Aggregate analytics data is retained in accordance with our privacy-focused analytics setup. Email communications are retained only as long as necessary to address player inquiries and fulfill legal recordkeeping requirements.

We utilize HTTPS encryption to protect data in transit. External links and partner sites operate under their own independent privacy policies and terms of service.

Policy updates and revisions

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in site features, legal requirements, or advertising partner guidelines. All revisions will be posted on this page with an updated date.
